Couple Halloween Costume Ideas

Halloween is, to me, one of the funniest holidays to celebrate. There is always  plenty to do, from crazy to spooky. We’ve been going to or hosting Halloween parties since we’ve moved to Seattle , and one of my favorite parts  are THE COSTUMES!

Sadly, with the COVID pandemic, we’re still not feeling completely safe to get back out there to one of these big parties this October – that we love btw. But if you’re just like me and love halloween, and have plans to celebrate it even with your small bubble, or even just dress up to get into the vibe, I got you covered with some ideas ranging from easy to a little more elaborate, because why not? It’s Halloween!

I know! I know! The only thing harder than deciding what you’re going to wear for Halloween is to decide what 2 people will wear for halloween. The trickiest part is when you and your partner need to agree on a matching costume.

@abmargb and I really enjoy spending time deciding and figuring out all of our costumes’ bits and pieces. We always try to choose a costume that holds some meaning for us: the costumes need to be something that we really like and know about. We really like to talk about the characters and their characteristics, which gets us even more involved with their backstory, traits, etc..

Ps: We’re Disney, Marvel & DC fans, so it’s hard not to wear something related to these 2 universes.

Alice in Wonderland and Mad Hatter

The Alice and Mad Hatter Costumes will drop you off in Wonderland! There are different dresses for Alice. You can easily find it at the costumes store or at amazon. You also can complement your costume in different ways with items such as rabbit purse and wear ballet flats. For a more adulthood Alice you can put a red lipstick.
You can find a nice Mad Hatter costumes here. Don’t forget to get an orange wig and add some orange makeup around the eyes and on the eyebrows.

Harley Quinn and Joker

Yes! I know! Joker and Harley Quinn couples costumes are super popular! Although they are a fun way to make an entrance to any party. Batman is always around partying but he surely doesn’t have quite as much fun as these two.

For Harley, besides the clothes, you must also get a wig. Get those black tights that you have at home, add some fake tattoos and a necklace.

Joker requires a bit more attention. A heavy make up (that requires time) is key, together with a nice greenish wig. BTW @abmargb did the make up by himself. I just had to help just with some details!

Jessie and Woody

Aren’t they adorable? The couple has been around from the very beginning of the Toy Story franchise. You can either DIY this couples costume or you can simply buy it at the costume store. Both of the costumes are pretty easy to put together!
For bot of them, besides the clothes, you need a nice pair of boots and a nice hat. And for Jessie herself you need a red wig and lots of blush 😉

Haven and Robin

One of our favorites costumes ever! We love to watch Teen Titans Go when chilling on the couch. So while we’re getting ready we’re remembering some of our favorite episodes and their amazing songs hahaha!

Raven is such an eccentric character. She’s not like the rest of the Teen Titans. People might call her grumpy, but sometimes a girl just needs a little bit of “me” time. Besides, she’s got a lot of stuff to deal with (I can totally relate)!

For Raven you’ll need a black, long-sleeved bodysuit, a red and gold belt, and a purple cape with a hood. You can also use a purple boot. I used a black one that I already had. Add gray tights and you’re almost ready! Next step: a heavy gray foundation, a purple lipstick and a red stone for the forehead.

To get the Robin vibes you need the costume, a yellow utility belt, green gloves and a nice eye mask.

Jasmine and Aladdin

You definitely don’t need a prince on your arm but if you have one, it doesn’t hurt either. Even without the magic carpet, you and your partner will look stunning in this Halloween getup.

Both of the characters are easy to put together. A wig for Jasmine combined with shiny golden accessories. And for Aladdin,  don’t forget a nice stuffed Abu, Aladdin’s reliable sidekick.
Bonus: If you have a fur baby, you can dress them up like Abu.

Black Widow and Thor

These are one piece costumes! Just put them on and go enjoy Halloween 👻

There are plenty of couple costumes to choose from, be it scary, silly, or totally sexy. And if you’re worried about the cost, try thrifty stores like Buffalo Exchange . You can even put together last-minute costumes from items you already have in your closet or around at your home, but do accept the fact that your choices will be limited then 🙂
