Welcome Post

Hello friends and welcome to my fresh and first blog post!
My name is Dayana (dah. – yah. – nah.). I’m originally from Brazil and I have lived in Seattle-WA with my husband Abmar since 2015.
I’m super excited to share my ideas and experiences with you! But first I wanted to start by telling you why I created this blog and what you will see in my future posts. 

Why I started this blog

I am passionate about decoration and organization. For me, these are ways to get distracted from the daily stress, and hobbies that I eventually want to turn into a job.

I love to read and find ways to organize things in my place so that daily life is easier. As I’m always having friends over, I also love to spend time planning and preparing decorations, menu, activities and playlists so that my house is always ready for the talking, eating, drinking and sharing. 

As a sagittarius girl, I love to have people around me to have constructive – and silly – conversations.  I believe that I can learn a lot from the moments that I have with the others. That became even more evident since I moved from Brazil: the distance from family and friends and my culture made me an even more outgoing person who needs her close ones around.

I also love to travel, run, eat, take pictures, get in contact with different cultures, and read about them. 

In conversations with family and friends, they are always asking me “Why don’t you start a blog?” – and recently a friend asked me “Why don’t you write a book to share your ideas and pictures?”. So here I am! With a blog, but not writing a book (yet)!

I’m always looking for new ways of doing things and searching for improvements that can make my life easier and less boring. So I decided to create this space to share all those experiences and tips. 

What you will be seeing in my posts

You can expect a combo of topics related to lifestyle, including decoration, organization, parties at home, travel, recipes, brief comments about books, tv shows and movies, podcasts, lots of photos and even some of my favorite fashion finds, products, and small businesses. I am not an expert on any of these topics, but I will try my best to be as informative as possible. I may be a “perfectionist” but I am nowhere near perfect.

As I have English as my second language, please excuse any grammar or spelling mistakes and feel free to always share your thoughts and talk to me along the way!
